Launching in 2018, Advance Social Care focused on providing a stepping stone for young people that were soon to enter into adulthood. Creating an environment that was suitable for young people to develop their independence and by providing exceptionally high quality accommodation, was central to our belief and values. Investing our time and energy to ensure young people remained at the forefront of our practise, led us to becoming a reputable and unique provider of leaving care services for young people in the Northwest. Working with a number of Northwest Authorities, commissioning teams, social workers and our young people, it has allowed us to continue to provide innovative services and inspirational support that keeps us firmly leading the way.
Here at Advance Social Care we have an intrinsic understanding of young people’s needs and a desire to provide a service next to none. We are committed to meeting the needs of the young people in a meaningful and person-centred manner. Advance Social Care are experts in supporting young people to understand, enjoy, build stable and successful lives during this crucial transitioning period of their lives. We provide life changing positive experiences that will take them into adult life and beyond. We have a strong and positive reputation for successfully supporting many young people and care leavers across the Northwest.
Developing independence and making a transition into adulthood is a difficult process for anyone. For young people it can be a complex process, where they face a number of uncertainties, challenges and changes. It is a time young people start to make their own decisions, naturally become more curios in exercising their independence, gain more freedom, experience cherished memories, learn to manage their own income, prepare and cook their own food, manage their own tenancy, pay bills, learn to manage their daily living needs in order to be healthy and progress in life. In essence, it’s an extremely important time in a young person’s life.
Transitioning into independence is a challenging period more so for young people who are care leavers, who do not have the same support system as their cohort, we also understand that some young people, especially care leavers will be affected by their earlier childhood experiences thereby delaying their development and or presenting with a range of complexities.

With our therapeutic and nurturing based approach, we focus on building a strong and trusting relationship with all our young people. Supporting them to develop strong values and positive thoughts from the onset. Encompassing a stable home that is a place where they can feel comfortable and a trusting environment where they can build the independence skills they require in a safe manner, in line with their development and pathway into adulthood.
Our placements are exceptional homes, and our staff are exceptional people. With a real passion to positively change the lives of young people, we enable young people to really invest, flourish, build on their strengths, test and develop their independence skills. We know every young person transition is different, which requires an approach befitting to their individual needs in a person-centred manner. Young people will be provided with support in a conducive environment to ensure that they are safe, happy and well supported whilst having all the resources, training and support they need to further develop their independent living skills.
We pride ourselves on quality and detail and are passionate about providing young people with life-changing positive experiences. Using our expertise of working with young people, working in collaboration with local authorities, having a thorough knowledge of our localities and excellent links with services from many sectors we have consistently opened many positive avenues and pathways for our young people.
Every young person placed with us benefits from a tailored assessment and a solution-focused Independence and Support plan, that is specifically designed to address their presenting individual needs, as well as a focus on their journey to independence. With regular support plan reviews we provide detailed updates on the progress of our young people. We undertake our own risk assessments, and each young person works through our bespoke Independent Living Programme and online units.
I have nothing but good things to say. I have found the staff to be hard-working, conscientious and accommodating at all times. They have always been friendly, and I think they carry out a fantastic job looking after and caring for vulnerable young people
